She stated that the NIM, with individual membership strength of about 200,000 and 400 corporate members, was strategically positioned as the prime driver of management values, standards and professionalism.

“It is also a veritable change agent in the strategic transformation of Nigeria since its inception 62 years ago and has recorded laudable achievements in the areas of professional management, capacity building, consultancy, re-engineering and human capital development.

“Some of the inroads we made in these regard include our various human capital development programmes; accreditation partnership with the National Universities Commission among others.

“The Institute also has executive training and membership admission arrangement with the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji; the National Defence College, Abuja and many other institutions.

“Since our two organisations share similarities in their modus operandi, we can also collaborate through training and capacity building.

“Under this arrangement, NIM will provide management training programs for participants at NIPSS, thereby enhancing their leadership and managerial skills to effectively implement policies,” she said.

Atako added that both institutions could explore exchange programmes, allowing staff and participants to exchange knowledge, experiences, and best practices.

She said that they could also jointly organise and hold policy dialogues and conferences to facilitate discussions on important national issues, bringing together experts, policymakers, and stakeholders.

“We can also undertake collaborative publications by co-publishing research papers, reports, and policy briefs, sharing valuable insights and recommendations with the wider public.

“In addition, we humbly request that you allocate some slots to our institute to enable us nominate some members of our top hierarchy to participate in the yearly senior executive course of this NIPSS as a way of deepening their capacity.

“We look forward to a win-win relationship between NIM and NIPSS and urge you to sponsor your staff to the 2023 Annual National Management Conference (ANMC) by September in Lagos,” she said.
