Access Holdings appoints Iyabo Soji-Fokusanya Executive Dir. Corporate, Investment Banking

LAGOS - Access Holdings Plc has announced the appointment of Mrs. lyabo Soji-Okusanya as Executive Director, Corporate and Investment Banking Division in its banking subsidiary, Access Bank Plc, following the approval of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Company Secretary, Sunday Ekwochi and posted on the website of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) on Friday.

Mrs. Soji-Okusanya is a seasoned professional with over three decades’ experience in corporate and commercial banking, accounting, and human capital development.

She has deep institutional knowledge of the Bank, having worked with the institution for about 25 years and successfully executed critical projects, including the development of several banking products.

Mrs. Soji-Okusanya holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from University of llorin and is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria.

She has attended several leadership development courses and Is an alumnus of Harvard Business School, Institute of Management Development (IMD), Lausanne Switzerland and INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.

Engineer sues police for alleged threat to life

An engineer, Mr Samuel Oladele, has filed a suit before an Ikeja High Court against alleged threat to his life by the police and some suspected land grabbers. In the suit numbered ID/14897/MFHR/2023 and filed through his counsel, Mr Adetayo Bello, Oladele is praying the court to stop his alleged continued harassment and intimidation by the police. The inspector-general of police, Lagos State commissioner of police and DCP Sheik Danko are among the respondents in the fundamental enforcement rights suit. Oladele is also praying the court to save him from activities of alleged land grabbers, Mr Sule Suraju and Taye Hassan, also respondents in the suit. He alleged that Suraju and Hassan worked with Danko on a mission to take over a land he lawfully acquired.
