Arik partners Actors Guild of Nigeria for 2024 award night

LAGOS - Arik Air has announced its partnership with the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Delta State chapter as the official airline sponsor of the 2024 AGN award night.

This is contained in a statement signed by the Head of Corporate Communications at Arik, Mr Ola Adebanji on Thursday in Lagos.

According to the statement, the event is scheduled to be held on Saturday, November 30 in Asaba, Delta State.

It said that as part of its commitment to supporting the Nigerian arts and entertainment industry, Arik Air would be sponsoring 20 out of the available 60 award categories.

According to the statement, AGN award night is a pinnacle celebration of excellence in the Nigeria film industry recognising the achievements of actors, directors, producers and other creatives.

Arik Air’s Head of Commercial, Ailemen Arumemi-Johnson said: "This further reinforces Arik Air’s dedication to fostering the growth and recognition of Nollywood, which is Africa’s largest film industry.

"Nollywood is a major part of Nigeria’s economy employing more than a million people directly or indirectly.

"Arik Air’s support for the industry is thus, so strategic and resonates with the airline’s Corporate Social Responsibility," Arumemi-Johnson said.

The 2024 AGN award night promises to be a star studded affair, bringing together some of the biggest names in the industry and key stakeholders in the entertainment sector.

Dati lauds FAAN MD for prioritising safety trainings
